Dr. Samir Afram
Vorstand
Dr. Samir Afram ist der Stifter und gleichzeitig Vorstand der Mor Afrem Stiftung.
Nach Abschluss des Abiturs hat er 1969 das Studium der Medizin an der Universität Aleppo aufgenommen. 1979 bis 1988 war er als Assistentsarzt und bis 1993 als Oberarzt der Pathologie in Deutschland tätig. Heute ist er niedergelassener Pathologe in Gronau/ Westfalen.
Seit seiner Jugend ist er Ehrenamtlich tätig.

Mit der Gründung der Mor Afrem-Stiftung hat er sein Engagement ausgeweitet und so zahlreiche humanitäre und kulturelle Projekte unterstützt.
Stiftungsrat (Kuratorium)
Der Stiftungsrat besteht derzeit aus vier Personen, die das Amt ehrenamtlich ausführen.
Abdelmesih BarAbraham
Vorsitz Stiftungsrat
Abdelmesih BarAbraham ist durch zahlreiche Engagaments in diversen Institutionen bekannt. Er ist u.a. auch im Vorstand der Yoken Bar Yoken Stiftung.
Durch seine langjährige Erfahrung in gemeinnützigen Organisationen stellt er eine Bereicherung für die Mor Afrem Stiftung dar.
Soner Önder Barthoma
Mitglied Stiftungsrat
Soner Ö. Barthoma is board member of the Mor Afrem Stiftung since 2017. He is the co-coordinator of the major European project (EC-Horizon 2020 RESPOND) conducting research on migration in 11 countries. Mr Barthoma has a background in political science with broad research interest in various inter-disciplinary topics, amongst them forced migration, governance and discourse theories, European politics, Turkish foreign policy, late Ottoman period and genocide studies, history of the modern Middle East and its political regimes, identity politics, cultural heritage and revitalization of endangered languages. He is board member of Stichting Inanna Foundation in the Netherlands and Mor Ephrem Stiftung in Germany; initiated and coordinated various international projects, besides the RESPOND project, most recently Erasmus+ Aramaic-Online (2014-2017) and Surayt-Aramaic Online Project (2017-2020), and Swedish Riksbanken GILGAMESH project. He has edited two volumes on the 1915 genocide, published several articles on identity, migration and integration related topics.
